About the She Trust
We offer help, information and support to women with endometriosis and everyone else interested, to be able to make informed choices about conventional, nutritional and complementary therapies available.
Founded in 1999 by a retired GP Tutor/Trainer, a retired Senior Practice Nurse, a Nutrition Consultant and a Health Visitor. Our current Board of Trustees consists of a cross section of ladies from various professional backgrounds, some of whom are Endometriosis sufferers themselves, and all have an understanding of this often misunderstood and unrecognised disease. Our board is supported by a panel of advisors from a diverse mix of disciplines.
The first Patron of Endometriosis SHE Trust (UK) was the Booker Prize recipient, writer Hilary Mantel. The Trustees are currently looking for a new Patron or Patrons to support our future plans.
We are in the process of relocating our office from Lincoln to a more central location in the UK. The new offices will be housed at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton, where our President Chris Mann has his NHS clinics. New Cross is planning to become a recognised endometriosis specialist centre.
